Salary Range

Seattle Base Salary Range: $118,000 to $170,000

Your Job

Conceptualizing, analyzing, building, testing, and implementing models that utilize various and diverse data sets to solve problems related to the employment and recruiting industries. Builds and implements machine learning models, testing frameworks, and visualizations to make timely decisions and influence the product roadmap. Proactively researches data and identifies opportunities in the data to drive the product roadmap. Evaluates data’s big picture to solve business problems rather than focusing on metrics alone. Understands human behavior and knows what to look for in the data. Communicates concisely and persuasively with engineers and product marketers. Helps identify ways to improve data quality and analysis. Utilizes a solid understanding of Indeed’s business fundamentals.

Regularly solicits feedback on work items after concrete self-validation. Measures the business impact of projects. Understands the desired outcome of projects and considers multiple approaches to achieve those results. Allocates time to work items based on priority and timelines. Enhances existing product, product data, data science solutions, and metrics. Enables others to understand work via active sharing of projects. Assists with candidate evaluation. Attain a working understanding of assigned product. Follow and develop understanding of Indeed's data science processes. Communicate and collaborate effectively with assigned cross-functional team. Improve data quality and analysis in assigned product. Deliver simple, high-quality, appropriate solutions for work items. Learn existing technologies used in assigned product and by other data scientists to complete tasks. Grow skills, knowledge, and experience. Position is in Seattle, WA. Up to 100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Who You Are

Primary Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
• Two years of professional industry experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Data Analysis.
• Demonstrated ability with the following skills:
• Small data modeling using: Python, R, Julia, or Octave;
• Data mining using: SQL, Pandas, or MongoDB;
• Production Development of data science solutions using: Java, Python, or C++

Alternative Minimum Requirements:

• Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated ability with the following skills:
• Small data modeling using: Python, R, Julia, or Octave;
• Data mining using: SQL, Pandas, or MongoDB;
• Production Development of data science solutions using: Java, Python, or C++

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Experience may be gained concurrently.
