Your Career

Detecting security breaches through data analytics is a challenging problem, and has huge potential. You are a talented and passionate Data Scientist who wants to make an impact by pushing both the field of data science and cyber security forward. From day one, you have to be able to roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running, and bring all of your security and data science experience to the team to develop innovative security analytics. Most importantly, you have a positive, “can ­do” attitude and a passion for delivering technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact

Working closely with in-house security experts, the Data Scientist will define, implement and improvise algorithms to detect known and unknown threats leveraging techniques in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence. This is an opportunity to work with web scale data sets incorporating distributed systems and open source data analytics clusters.

Your Experience

• Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research) or an M.S. with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience successfully applying supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods with an emphasis on anomaly detection.
• Significant experience in Scala or Python.
• Have successfully deployed or worked with teams to deploy machine learning models to production.
• Passion for tackling difficult problems and delivering proven results.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of cloud APIs (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
• Advanced competency with Spark, relational SQL (including window functions, recursion, etc.), and MemSQL.
• Basic understanding of distributed queues.
• Experience using big-data search ingestion, storage and indexing.
