As a member of the Internet Security Research Team (PANDB Data Science Team), you will work closely with data scientists, security researchers, and other engineers on implementing different projects to detect and defend against various emerging threats in the areas of Web Security. You will build big data and distributed systems that use machine learning and deep learning models to analyze and categorize an enormous amount of URLs. You will be a key person in transforming ideas into products which are part of the next generation security platform. The Internet Security Research Team is responsible for innovating new security techniques.

Your Impact

• Build threat research systems for both customer-facing products and internal infrastructures.
• Write design documents, SW development guidelines, and best practices.
• Work closely with team members and PMs to gather requirements, design, implement and release.
• Work with SREs on production release/deployment.

Your Experience

• Creative thinker and team player, with good communication skills and desire to make differences.
• Proficient on one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Golang, and Scala.
• Proficient on Big data, distributed systems, and streaming tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, HBase, and Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and container-based development (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient on Linux OS and shell scripting.
• Proficient on database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or similar.
• Have basic knowledge of machine learning and web content classification.
• Ability to design, implement, and deploy components; conduct regression and integration tests.
• Basic knowledge of Front-End and javascript is a plus.
• Hands-on and can-do attitude, passion in cybersecurity.
• BS/MS/PhD Majored in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. BS with 2+ years industrial experience.
