Guardicore Labs (now Akamai Enterprise Security Labs) is the research arm of the companys Enterprise Security organization. we are delivering cutting-edge cyber security research and provide analysis, insights, and response methodologies. We are looking for a Big Data Engineer Team Lead to build our platform as a service product.

As a Big Data Team Lead you will be:

• Leading Guardicores data platform by extending its core infrastructure and the solutions it offers its clients.
• Building your own team, hiring the top-notch engineers.
• Mentoring and collaborating with other data engineers, software engineers and data scientists
• Guiding all technical aspects of development, including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and integration
• Discovering new ways to make the company and its platform safer and more efficient
• Establishing high standards for code quality and performance
• Leading technical decisions in performance, large scale distributed system scalability, system architecture

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field or IDF technological unit technology experience
• Have 5+ years of experience in Software Development
• Have at least 3-5 years of experience developing large scale Big Data systems
• Have experience in collaborating and mentoring data engineers and data scientists on best practices and technical solutions.
• Experience with Python programming language
• Have experience in data orchestration at cloud ecosystems in one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Have proven hands-on experience with data management, monitoring, CI/CD , MLOps
• Demonstrate extensive experience with the full software development life cycle including code reviews, release and support
