Our Enterprise Division team develops world-class Enterprise Security, Identity, and Application Access products for our customers. Our solutions provide fast, reliable enterprise application access. This helps to mitigate endpoint malware and phishing threats to provide a secure and efficient experience.

Develop and contribute to full product life-cycle

You will work on Akamai's Threat Protector product, help transforming Akamai's ETP platform into a worldwide leader. You'll be crucial to the development of best-in-class security features. You'll be leveraging your knowledge in distributed cloud systems on our network. you'll make a global impact on Enterprises, applications and users.

As a Senior Big Data engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing in a highly collaborative distributed environment.
• Creating new features from scratch, enhance existing features, and optimize existing functionality for an Akamai scale solution
• Helping to transform existing Big Data solutions to the Azure ecosystem
• Mentoring and coaching colleagues, contributing industry analysis/insights, and contributing to innovation of Akamai products and processes

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Have experience in several backend engineering or big data positions.
• Have experience programming in Java, Scala or any other OO programming language.
• Have experience in building high traffic and scalable performance systems.
