Job Summary

The Director, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence will lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team developing the vision and resources for data-driven strategic financial analytics projects utilizing mathematics, statistics, engineering, and/or operational research to solve business problems and make better business decisions. This role supports financial forecasting, optimization, simulation, data mining, experimental designs, and causal and sensitivity relationship identification. This position supervises and/or coordinates cross-functional teams of Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, IT, external consultants, and other resources, as applicable, for the projects. The ideal candidate will prepare and present strategic insights, recommendations, proposals, and business cases to influence key internal stakeholders and Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develops data mining and advanced analytics strategies
• Oversees tool development and metrics availability
• Develops and manages project roadmaps
• Serves as internal project lead
• Provides ad hoc project support
• Leads and develops others

• Possesses experience designing and building advanced financial data models
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, including authoring and delivering presentations to multiple levels of management
• Demonstrates fundamental understanding of activity based costing methodologies
• Experience identifying and gathering Business Requirements
• Experience developing and managing project roadmaps
• Experience executing statistical models
• Experience influencing people and teams at all levels in an organization
• Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Postgraduate degree (or internationally comparable degree) in similarly applicable fields of study
• Experience developing complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries
• Experience creating data visualization and dashboards using Power BI
• Experience programming using Python
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with applying machine learning with financial and/or operational scenarios
