Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, managing high-risk initiatives related to fund operations, technology implementations, regulatory changes, vendor onboarding/offboarding, and product events. This includes investment, compliance, IT, and operations, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of strategic business initiative and fund operation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide transparency through discussions and dashboards to highlight project status, upcoming events, and risks.
  • Escalate issues promptly that may impact project delivery, with recommendations on mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budget to ensure successful project delivery.

Business Analyst:

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their processes, identify inefficiencies, and gather requirements for process improvements.
  • Analyze existing processes and develop recommendations for enhancements to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a good understanding of fund operation processes, controls and risk management.
  • Understand the needs, priorities, and challenges of each function within the operations team to evaluate and determine solutions for improving operational workflows through process changes, technology deployment, and personnel adjustments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations.
  • Act as a liaise between business partners and IT Agile squads to ensure requirements are understood and objectives are met within the agreed timeline.
  • Ability to lead change, develop and execute strategic and tactical plans, and resolve conflicts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fund operations, audit, project management and/or business analysis within the asset management or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex fund operation projects and driving business process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of fund operations, investment products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management and business analysis methodologies, tools and software.
  • Familiar with automation tools, machine learning, and AI, a plus

The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$90,225.00 USD - $162,405.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
