About the job

As a Data Scientist in Search Quality, you will apply data analysis, evaluation, and statistical modeling techniques to quantify and balance user experience and ecosystem impact for all of search ranking. You will partner with the Web Health team in Zurich to define metrics and experimentation, derive insights, and drive strategy for ecosystem-related efforts within Search Quality, and collaborate on ecosystem-related work across the rest of the Search organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Work with data sets and solve non-routine analytical challenges, apply analytical methods, and conduct analysis including: data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, and presentations.
• Use custom data infrastructure or existing data models as appropriate, design and evaluate models to express and solve defined problems with limited precedent.
• Gather information, business goals, priorities, and organizational context around the questions to answer, as well as the existing and upcoming data infrastructure.
• Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources, format, re-structure, or validate data to ensure quality, and review the dataset to ensure it is ready for analysis.
• Work with the Data Science, Search Quality Engineering and Product teams to enable insights and data-driven decision making for Search Quality.
