Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience in back-end technologies or any of the following languages: C++, Java, Python or Go.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience with distributed systems, big data processing, Machine Learning (ML) modeling, data science.

Responsibilities

• Own critical areas of Android App Safety's Content Abuse Mitigation and tech-lead a team with high visibility and impact.
• Lead the design, implementation and delivery of major changes to the Content Abuse infrastructure, making deep technical contributions to achieve goals around building a fast, effective and scalable infrastructure that is geared towards automation.
• Prioritize and lead the execution of major changes to critical App Safety's Content Abuse systems, mitigating risk and planning the work across teams, balancing between near and long term goals and plans along with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Understand, streamline and improve an ecosystem of interacting components. Work in a high paced environment and have the ability to adapt to a fast changing regulatory environment.
• Mentor junior engineers.
