Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience driving AI/ML programs and building applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) principles and their distinctions from traditional software development.
  • Ability to execute, prioritize, and influence multiple complex, rapidly changing programs involving diverse teams.
  • Ability to be organized and adept at designing and implementing efficient processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, even without direct authority.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Initiate and lead strategic pivots across multiple teams in response to evolving business needs.
  • Manage project lifecycles, from gathering requirements and assessing risks to prioritizing features with stakeholders (product, engineering, etc.).
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional and inter-team challenges.
  • Use sound judgment to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Design and implement scalable operational processes to enhance team efficiency.
