About the role

In this role you will define, build and support the models, tools and dashboards required to test and pilot new revenue and business strategies for the New Construction business as well as manage reporting and analysis to business leaders for one product category. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Sales Analytics. We have an ambitious agenda and numerous opportunities we are exploring during a period of significant growth and change. Partnering closely with peers from Strategy, Product Management and Sales you will help scale ideas from concept to production by providing your analytic expertise and judgment. You’ll dive deep into our product, customer, and sales data to support decision making and revenue growth. This includes working with large data sets, often in partnership with our Data Science and Data Engineering organizations.

A large part of your role will be conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends and novel insights. You'll be in a highly visible position, which requires a personable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach. As part of a fully-remote team your success will depend on building strong relationships across numerous business functions. In addition to being a highly effective business operator, you will get to leverage your Excel, Data Visualization, and SQL skills on a daily basis, as well as regularly design and deploy dynamic and interactive dashboards leveraging modern BI tools (Domo and Tableau). Candidates for this role must thrive on change, solving new problems, and have a passion for storytelling with data.

In this role, you will get to:

  • Dive deep into the numbers, identify actionable insights, and leverage both your technical skills and your charisma to influence key decision makers
  • Leverage tools such as Salesforce, Domo and Tableau to tell compelling data driven stories to a wide variety of audiences, creating automated reports, dashboards and other tools.
  • Confidently evaluate and recommend strategies to drive improvement in key business success metrics
  • Query and manipulate large data sets using SQL to monitor, measure and report on both site and product data to interpret and report on the health of the business
  • Leverage your data visualization skills for exploratory data analysis to craft stories that drive decision making across many teams
  • Build a robust spectrum of reporting for initiatives you support our leadership, sales, and support teams to monitor and take action on key performance indicators related to your
  • Effectively partner with our marketing, product and engineering teams to ensure alignment with external stakeholders

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $99,300.00 - $158,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • You enjoy data visualization and telling stories with data, with prior experience building dashboards in Domo and Tableau, or equivalent experience in similar tools, such as Power BI
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams to get things done
  • you thrive in changing circumstances that require strong organizational and time management skills. You can balance competing priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, informatics or a technical discipline preferred OR a liberal arts degree with relevant work experience
  • 8+ years in Sales Analytics and Operations or equivalent relevant experience at a fast-growing technology company
  • Solid understanding of B2B2C marketplaces and the pipeline from lead generation to conversion
  • You have very strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel & SQL skills, including the ability to write and troubleshoot queries from scratch, skills you enjoy using on a daily basis
  • Experience scheduling jobs using Airflow or similar tools as well as collaborating with engineering, data science and product teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with R or Python for statistical analysis and data visualization
  • Working familiarity with digital advertising (you know all about CPMs, CPCs, CTRs and UTM codes and industry standard advertising tools) and ads ecosystem
  • Familiarity with A/B testing in B2B marketplace
  • Comfortable leading presentations, training and demos of reporting tools and dashboards to medium and large groups, often in partnership with our Training, Marketing and Sales leaders.
