Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis, identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from data.
• 1 year of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• 2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, C++.
• 1 year of experience with machine learning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. In this role, you will be working with PMs, Software Engineers (ML/Anti-Abuse and Security Engineers), Policy, Sales, and Review teams in devising strategy to outsmart the adversaries. Specifically, you will be working on developing data driven insights to improve the review operations, identify new trends in foundational fraud abuse, automation of processes and enforcement, feature engineering/signal development of ML model improvements, reverse engineering, develop intelligence on threat actors, and more to stay one step ahead of the adversaries.

This role may require occasional graphic content and may require on-call support during weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects/investigations and cross-functional initiatives within Google, interacting with senior stakeholders from Engineering, Legal, Product teams, and more.
• Deliver improvements to our performance metrics based on understanding of drivers of abuse and leverage fellow teammates to deliver exceptional business results.
• Provide technical contributions to the team and ensure that solutions fit within the current complex product and backend infrastructures.
• Design and deliver cross-functional strategic solutions at scale, focused on user safety, process optimizations, and safe business for our advertisers.
