WSP is currently initiating a search for an Economics, Finance, & Grants Lead Consultant. This position could be located in any one of our US offices. Be involved in projects with our Economics, Finance, & Grants business line and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

About the Position:

We are looking for a highly motivated analyst consultant with experience in data analytics and applied economics to join our economics group. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in economic and statistical analysis of infrastructure projects and related fields including finance and data analytics. 

The Economics, Finance, & Grants Lead Consultant position offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will work directly with industry thought leaders to identify and apply evolving requirements and innovative practices to large, highly visible projects across the United States.

Your Impact

• Manage project tasks and guide staff, including cost and schedule monitoring
• Lead and contribute to marketing and business develop activities
• Direct primary and secondary research, as well as technical analysis, related to planning, economics, and finance of infrastructure projects
• Lead and perform quality control on complex qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Direct research briefs or reports and deliver results presentations
• Collaborate with teams across services areas and business lines in Advisory Services 

The successful candidate will have the following skills, interests, and experiences:

• Expertise in economic and statistical analysis and related fields, with demonstrated progression of responsibility in economic areas including benefit-cost analysis, business case analysis, economic impact analysis, economic modeling and forecasting, socio-economic/land use forecasting, econometrics, and/or finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Extensive experience in the infrastructure industry and related sectors, especially in global supply chain logistics
• Program/project delivery implementation experience is highly desirable
• Contributes to thought leadership
• Recognize for technical excellence in high quality level performance
• Experience with analytical packages and/or programming languages (SAS, STATA, EViews, SPSS, R, Python, Matlab, VBA, etc.)
• Econometrics and Monte Carlo simulations experience is highly desirable
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Excellent communicator with abilities to deliver complex ideas and results in intuitive and effective manner to non-technical audience
• Employment authorization to work in the United States
• Advanced degree in economics, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, business, public policy, or urban planning desirable

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in economics, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, business, public policy, or urban planning
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree is preferred.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $126,000 - $165,440

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $126,000 - $155,210

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
