Job Description

As part of this transformation journey, Clorox is piloting its new, IBP capabilities. Clorox is implementing these new processes, systems and operating structures to bring this new capability to life. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can help drive the enhancement of Clorox’s IBP capabilities and help build Clorox’s IBP capability for the future. This role will serve as a core part of the IBP team within the BU and be a lynchpin for project success

In this role, you will:

S&OE Planning: 

  • S&OE process: Drive weekly S&OE process across 1-2 month time horizon, executing near-term planning against BU constrained forecast and integrated business plan 
  • Gap fill: Track execution, identify demand and supply gaps to S&OP plan, and drive balanced demand / supply resolution, in coordination with impacted functions 
  • Tradeoff decisions & framing: Assess / balance tradeoffs and strategies to meet near-term BU goals for escalation in BU Ops Meeting and to IBP Lead and GM as warranted 

Plan execution: 

  • Risks monitoring to service level: Proactively identify and escalate risks forecast consumption, service levels, and inventory gap-to-target to deliver against the consensus demand plan and opportunities to improve delivery (e.g. higher service level, lower cost, etc) through BU Cockpit 
  • Inventory health: Monitor inventory health and recast replenishment plans to prevent future service issues
  • Allocation strategy: Trigger and co-lead allocation strategy & demand shaping actions 

Cross-functional collaboration: 

  • Delivery coordination: Coordinate BU to ensure delivery of short term plan / escalation of issues 
  • Primary POC on Short Term Plan: Acts as the primary downstream POC on S&OE plan for logistics and customer ops 
  • Trends: Coordinate with both Business Planning Mgr. / Network Planning Mgr. to flag trending issues that need to be incorporated into longer term supply plans going forward 
  • Community of practice: Actively foster and contribute to a community of like practitioners 

Continuous improvement: 

  • Process effectiveness: Conduct process health reviews vs. criteria for best practice and develop plan to address gaps 
  • Feedback: Provide feedback to centralized IBP capability team on process / tool improvements

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience: 

  • 5-7 yrs industry experience, CPG / fast moving consumer preferred 
  •  Recent demand / supply / S&OE planning experience 
  • Operational experience in supply chain operations (e.g. mfg., logistics, DC ops, inventory planning) 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP / supply planning tools, with preference for Kinaxis & SAP S4Hana & NetSuite 
  • Experience interfacing and influencing across multiple functions 
  • Preference: Relevant exposure to a customer-facing function 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Forward-looking strategic thinking: Ability to synthesize disparate data into coherent, forward-looking business strategy and tactics for advancing business priorities, with mgmt. / LT support 
  • Financial acumen: Strong financial acumen, focused on working capital & P&L implications of overall supply chain and network balancing choices 
  • Analytics / data mastery: Strong analytic skillset and familiarity with data science applications, including: 
  • In depth understanding of how to build an inventory strategy and the drivers that impact inventory strategy 
  • Able to analyze and diagnose core forecast drivers and understand impact on forecast with Iris tools 
  • In depth understanding of constraints and how they impact plan execution 
  • Understanding of how a forecast model works, strengths / pitfalls of the ML model and the core elements of the model predictivity 
  • High fluency / dexterity in working with data 
  • Ability to recognize trends within data and translate that back into short-term demand & supply plan narrative
  • Customer operations : Exposure to customer operations with capacity to be able to understand and respond to changes in demand drivers 
  • Supply chain operations: Strong understanding of E2E supply chain, potential tradeoffs, and impact on short term execution

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
