Position Description

Redhorse Corporation is actively seeking a Product Manager to join the Algorithmic Warfare Cross Functional Team (AWCFT). The AWCFT (aka Project Maven) is a Deputy Secretary of Defense-directed, NGA-led initiative to bring increased artificial intelligence capability to the DIE, primarily through the acquisition or development of computer vision algorithms capable of performing a number of automated tasks. The Product Manager will be a high performing individual who desires to work on the cutting edge of AI and deep learning and make a transformational difference to the DIE. This person will engage with stakeholders on how they are using Maven Technology (Smart System, Horizontal Motion Imagery) and provide product (software vice an intel product) management for the various lines of effort. The individual will also work with the more technical/AI engineers on the Maven Team (to include Test and Evaluation) to develop a roadmap to maximize the end-user experience.

Tasks, duties, and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing vision and building requirements for the range of Full Motion Video, Horizontal Motion Imagery (HMI), and Broad Area Search (BAS) User Interfaces (UIs) in conjunction with the Maven line of efforts leads. Ensuring the UIs work well in both thin and thick client environments.
  • Assisting in Data as a Service (DaaS) function with 3rd party applications. Roadmaping status and defining and executing “full-operating capacity” criteria for DaaS availability in other UIs.
  • Tracking and coordinting all Production Requirements Documents (PRDs) for the UX with a focus on a common look and feel – propagating the updated user guides/feature release information with the vendors.
  • Turning UX-centric feedback from exercises into Program Resource Documents for prioritization in conjunction with Test and Evaluation teams
  • Providing insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of industry standard solutions.
  • Providing specific expertise in support of the creation of comprehensive methods for describing current and future strategic milestones of the project.
  • Planning all aspects of project performance including full responsibility for long-range planning. Utilizing functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its critical components. Working with senior managers and executives to provide industry vision and strategic direction with regard to their enterprise.
  • Participating in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
  • Analyzing user needs to determine requirements and conducting feasibility studies. Identifying resources required for each task. Supervising support staff and/or serving as liaison to client staff. Providing strategic guidance to other technical staff in areas such as specifications, architectures, and information system design. Researching developments in field of expertise and applying them to the client environment, including emerging technologies, lessons learned, best practices, and assessment methodologies.

Basic Minimum Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials include:

  • US citizenship with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance and a current access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) (TS/SCI) is required. Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active TS/SCI security clearance will not be considered for this role.
  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any combination of military/government/civilian, or contractor experience with Government or DoD are required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in any combination of military/government/civilian, or contractor experience with Government or DoD may be substituted for the Master’s Degree and five (5) years of experience.
