What You'll Do

  • Apply fundamental and advanced quantitative methods, including machine learning and statistical modeling, to solve complex business problems and enable data-driven decision making. For example, build statistical and machine learning models for trend analysis and forecasting to predict future business outcomes for a Fortune 50 company.
  • Work with a team of data professionals to integrate diverse data sources, establishing a comprehensive and unified view of the client's data landscape. 
  • Efficiently synthesize large volumes of data, extracting meaningful insights in a structured and programmatic manner.
  • Create effective data visualizations to simplify and clarify complex data patterns and trends, and explain these complex concepts and business value to non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • A passion for delivering transformative solutions by working closely with project teams and clients to design, build, deploy, learn, and optimize predictive models that drive business value for a wide variety of business applications and outcomes.
  • Experience with hypothesis generation and validation of modeling approaches by meticulously examining performance indicators.
  • Have utilized visualization techniques to profile and explore datasets, applied data quality remediation strategies, as well as effectively communicate results and modeling outputs.
  • Have actively participated in solutioning sessions, working hand-in-hand with business/client, translating business objectives into actionable machine learning/data science use case.
  • Have extensive experience programming using best practices with Python (including PySpark), R, and SQL, leveraging these tools to drive concrete business outcomes.

What You’ll Bring (Preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry hands-on experience in data science.
  • Advanced degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud and modern data science tools and platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, and Azure ML.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical models (like ARIMA, Linear and Logistic Regression), machine learning algorithms (including Random Forests, LightGBM, and XGBoost), advanced techniques like Neural Networks and Deep Learning models (CNNs and RNNs), and familiarity with regularization techniques, optimization algorithms, and performance improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python (including PySpark), R, SQL, and experience with libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with MLOps and DevOps, including best practices such as unit testing, source control (Git), and code review.
  • Experience building end-to-end data science solutions, including operationalizing models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex problems.
  • Previous experience in a data engineering role is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role, the ability to guide and manage a team effectively, will be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including proficiency in selecting and creating effective data visualizations.
