Job Description

INDIANA, INDIANAPOLIS (USA). Labcorp Central Laboratory Services (Biopharma Solutions) is seeking a hematopathologist with training in anatomic and clinical pathology (board certified / eligible). Additional expertise / board certification is valuable but not required. Experience / proficiency with interpretation of flow cytometry is a plus. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with clients. A common set of processes, procedures, and instrumentation is offered throughout our sites in Europe, Asia/Pacific, and the United States, allowing us to receive samples globally and provide more than 700 assays across all laboratory science disciplines. 

This opening offers an AP/CP Hematopathologist the opportunity to build global experience and pursue a promising career path at the cutting edge of drug development. This is not a remote role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee medical decisions and fulfill regulatory and laboratory duties requiring a pathologist.
  • Collaborate in global trials involving whole slide imaging and artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Review requests for new test feasibility; approve and assist in providing quotes.
  • Provide leadership in areas of expertise (hematopathology, other).
  • Review anatomic pathology cases (glass, digital - mostly IHC / H&E, lesion identification).
  • Review and interpret laboratory testing (SPEP, IFE, hematopathology, flow cytometry).
  • Participate in investigator meetings / client visits (live, occasional travel).
  • Analyze and respond to clients’ medical and pathology-related inquiries.
  • Contribute to development of method validation plans, approve validations.

Education and Qualifications:

  • US Med license eligibility
  • MD or equivalent, training and board certification / eligibility in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology
  • Board certification / eligibility in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as hematopathology are required.
  • Additional board certification / eligibility is valuable but not required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with clients at meetings and conferences is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
