Job Description

Responsibilities

Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system

Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities

Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics

Leads software research and development projects

Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations

Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards

Work closely with management and technical leads to deliver first time quality products

Lead estimating efforts for future development work

Develop and refine team processes and systems to continuously improve

Work closely with management and technical leads to deliver first time quality products

Trains and mentors’ others

Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
• A minimum of ten years of experience, with the last five years applying software engineering, software architecture, or other related discipline on large and complex software projects.
• A minimum of five years of experience utilizing Agile principles, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology teams
• Must hold a current DoD secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Ten years of experience working with various database technologies such as relational database, real-time database, NoSQL database, virtual networks, designing and developing cloud-native scalability and distributed applications.
• Experience working with big data, machine learning, and Software-Defined Network (SDN) including the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities.
• Experience with DoD Cyber Security requirements and design, development, and maintenance of applications spanning multiple security enclaves.
• Experience with Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), networks, systems, tooling, monitoring, and cloud management requirements.
