Job Description

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform duties as AH-64 Reliability Project Lead focused assessing cleansed aircraft utilization data, tear down assessment data and other aircraft reliability data sets to define system improvements by following the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) improvement lifecycle.
• Plan, develop, and conduct analysis programs or studies to establish the feasibility of systems/subsystems/components meeting requirements and/or adequacy of design utilizing the DMAIC methodology.
• Develop drafts or recommendations and/or substantiation of depot and field level maintenance policies and procedures, modifications, upgrades, repairs, technical data revision/improvement, field inspection, corrosion prevention and control, developing new depot and field maintenance practices.
• Participate/Provide input to in Progress Reviews (IPR) for Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Cost Wise Readiness projects.
• Work closely with Government service owners to identify needed projects and understand status of on-going projects.
• Review and update directives applicable to level-of-maintenance and DOD maintenance decision processes, as well as, repair and enhancement of structural integrity and corrosion resistance.
• Conduct special project tasks, maintenance programs and other special programs or projects involving U.S. Army and multi-service aircraft, associated power plants, components and subassembly items.
• Serve as liaison between customer and internal management ensuring that work within area of responsibility is complete, meets customer requirements, and is of high quality.
• Report status of projects accurately and timely including key issues, delays in timelines, and timely escalation to key stakeholders and sponsors

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance with active investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college in an Engineering discipline or Applied Mathematics or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. 
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with aircraft technical publications (IETM, ASAM/SOF, TB, DMWR)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Highly desired experience working as or with aviation maintenance personnel and processes.
• Knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems design, development and analysis. Knowledge and experience working with databases to extract data for analysis.
• Working knowledge of Army Database software applications such as ULLS-A, RIMFIRE, FMAS, ASAP, MCDS, JDRS, PDREP, TAMMS-A.
• Understanding of data science, analytics and visualization software desired. (Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, Minitab, etc.)
• Understanding of Six Sigma DMAIC approach (Green belt certification highly desired)
• Performed duties as a Maintenance Test Pilot, Technical Inspector, Maintenance phase team leader.
• Experience with policies and practices of Reliability Centered Maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to effectively communicate through both oral and written communication between multiple stakeholders both government and contractor.
• Proven record in training technical procedures and methods.
