Job Description

This role combines various abilities: around 65% would involve blending skills like integration, analysis, and bridging between business, technology, and vendors. The remaining 35% would focus on hands-on experience in development tasks, such as scripting, SQL, and DevOps.

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite in Downtown Toronto)

Status: Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements.
  • Work closely with vendor and internal teams to ensure successful integration and implementation of applications.
  • Provide ongoing support for applications, including maintaining and updating SQL queries for ETL code.
  • Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues on Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
  • Utilize shell scripting to streamline processes and improve system performance.
  • Deploy and integrate applications on Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
  • Automate DevOps deployment to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Oracle/SQL Server:
    • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for ETL processes.
  • Linux/Unix:
    • Expertise in log analysis and troubleshooting.
    • Proficient in shell scripting for automation and system maintenance.
    • Ability to deploy and integrate applications on Linux/Unix environments.
  • DevOps, CI/CD Pipeline:
    • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automating deployments.

Nice to Have:

  • Windows Servers:
    • Experience in log analysis and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with PowerShell for automation and system maintenance.
    • Ability to deploy and integrate applications on Windows servers.
  • AWS/Azure: Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud services such as S3, EC2 instances, and RedShift.
  • AML Applications: Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering applications and related processes.
  • Familiarity with AML Tools: Previous experience working with Actimize, Bridger, NetReveal, or similar applications.
