Job DescriptionOverviewBigBear.ai is seeking a Data Scientist, Journeyman to support data collection, ingestion, validation, and loading of optimized data in the appropriate data stores. The candidate identifies and implements solutions for the data requirements, including building pipelines to collect data from disparate, external sources, implementing rules to validate that expected data is received, cleansed, transformed, massaged and in an optimized output format for the data store. The data scientist will perform validation and analytics in support of the ODT CCMD requirements and evolves solutions through automation, optimizing performance with minimal human involvement. As pipelines are executed, the data scientist monitors their status, performance, and troubleshoots issues while working on improvements to ensure the solution is the very best version to address the customer need.The position will be on-site at the Alexendria, VA office location. Candidate must posses and maintain an active TS/SCI Clearance.What you will do•Develop solutions for high volume, low latency applications and can operate in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.•Distribute computer understanding and experience with SQL, Spark, ETL.•Support diverse CCMD requirements•Must be able to act self-guided, prioritize tasks, and develop a schedule•Must posses Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and through email•Must be comfortable with public speaking•Able to interaction with other Military AnalystsWhat you need to have•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience with 4-8 years of experience•An active TS/SCI•Experienc communicating complex technical concepts to external business and technical audiences, and writing at a level appropriate for a senior executive•Strong problem-solving skills•Able to work independently and self-identify tasks•Able to communicate complex technical concepts to external business and technical audiences, and write at a level appropriate for a senior executive•Strong problem-solving skills•Able to work independently and self-identify tasks•Demonstratable ability to employ a variety of National Security data types, including SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, and OSINT•Proven ability to explain technical subjects to less technical audiencesWhat we'd like you to have•Experience working in an agile development environment•Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and communicate with multiple functional groups•Ability to display a positive, can-do attitude to solve the challenges of tomorrow•Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills•Preferred experience at the respective command with an understanding of analytical and data paint points and challenges across the J-Codes.About BigBear.aiBigBear.ai delivers AI-powered analytics and cyber engineering solutions to support mission-critical operations and decision-making in complex, real-world environments.
