As a Product Manager at Bigbear.ai, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and success of our products that leverage AI, machine learning, and data-driven insights.

We seek an experienced and motivated Product Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing the product strategy for our AI-driven software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.

What you will do

• Lead the growth of our Ship Yard Ai software products from vision through design, development, and execution.
• Product Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to define and refine the product vision and strategy.
• Roadmap Planning:Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and prioritize the product roadmap, considering business goals, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
• Requirement Definition: Translate high-level concepts and market requirements into detailed product requirements, user stories, and feature specifications.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure successful product development, timely releases, and alignment with overall company objectives.
• User-Centric Design: Advocate for user-centered design principles to ensure that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities, monitor industry trends, and gather insights for continuous product improvement.
• Release Management: Coordinate product releases, including feature rollouts, bug fixes, and updates, while ensuring effective communication across all teams.
• Metrics and Analysis:Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, track metrics, and analyze user data to iterate on features and improvements.
• Customer Engagement:Collaborate with the sales and customer support teams to gather customer feedback, address issues, and identify opportunities for product enhancements.

What you need to have

• MBA, BS/MS Computer Science, or related field. Or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (5 - 10 years) as a Product Manager or in a related role within the technology industry, with a strong track record of successful product launches.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, data analytics, or related technologies.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform product decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward addressing challenges.

What we'd like you to have

• Experience with Agile engineering processes highly desired.
• Experience with product management and development in a domain of Big Data, AI/ML, or Data Analytics.
• Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care/Support.
• Practical experience with qualitative and quantitative research to drive decisions
• An understanding that collective intelligence outweighs any single person.
