Start your career journey with GM Financial! GM Financial is hiring Model Risk Management interns for our summer 2024 internship program. Throughout the twelve week summer program, interns will gain hands-on work experience in addition to opportunities for personal and professional development. The summer 2024 internship program will take place from May 20-August 9, 2024. GMF internships are 40 hours per week positions and are based in Detroit, MI or the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX metroplex. Remote interns will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics or related field with at least one semester remaining at start of internship.
• Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
• Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
• Previous internships and coding experience considered a plus (ex. SAS, R or Python)

Working Conditions

• Must be able to commit to work 40 hours for 12 consecutive weeks during the summer 
• Must participate in all GMF sponsored events for interns.
• Hybrid Work Mode
• This position is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will require students to reside in the Dallas- Fort Woth or Detroit, MI area during the duration of the summer program onsite
• This position does not offer housing or stipends #LI-KK1
