Job Description

In this role:

• You will establish enterprise data and AI product portfolio management (PMO).
• You will optimize delivery through cross-functional collaboration and resource alignment while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• You will lead a team of data and product partners who work with engineering, AI/ML teams, data owners, and business leaders to ensure data is connected, clean, and sufficiently complete to enable customers, enable business decisions, drive business growth, and optimize operations and costs.
• You will own an overall end-to-end measurement framework for PMO delivery targets to enable strategic business goals.
• You will deliver and drive the adoption of data and AI governance in a matrixed organization by implementing foundational governance policies, standards, and processes that enable the business.
• You will oversee the development of data policies on accessibility, quality, and interoperability as the single source of truth of how, where, and which data is stored in the data assets and platforms.
• You will devise controls or other actions to mature and uplift data operations and AI governance.
• You will lead the data management, engineering, and IT partnership to deploy technology to evolve the IDEXX data and AI platform ecosystem.
• You will deploy essential resources and technologies, including Generative AI in IDEXX products, for internal data operations and IDEXX business practices.
• You will support the team in introducing beneficial disruption, engaging in change management, and improving and evolving working methods when necessary.
• You will deliver appropriate programs to expand and promote data and AI to help IDEXX capitalize on its innovative engineering and AI/ML workforce and to help IDEXX deliver on its full data potential.
• You will support systems and create standards that all IDEXX staff can understand, follow, and continually strengthen.
• You will stay current with the latest advancements and trends in data, governance and AI, machine learning, and compute platforms, applying industry knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage for IDEXX.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

• You have a solid understanding of data and AI products, systems and environments, governance, and processes necessary to support the lifecycle of data products, systems, and AI solutions.
• You excel at building and leveraging the capabilities of high-performing teams and partners across an enterprise.
• You have operational & and analytic orientation and a proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics.
• Will be viewed by the organization as knowledgeable, capable, competent, and a change agent.

• You have broad knowledge about managing data and AI assets, including data/computing /analysis platforms and data-powered applications.
• You have experience generating solutions incorporating Generative AI, NLP, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.

• You have 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree (in computer science or a numerate subject - e.g. engineering, sciences, or mathematics) or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree or a minimum of 6 years of work experience with a PhD.
• You have progressive career experience in data, supporting technologies, and practices and have experience in an established PMO with data and AI application or platform development experience.
• You have managed people and portfolios in a complex organization with multiple business lines and functions.
• You have a solid understanding of data structures, architecture, and various AI technologies,
• You can juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• You are an expert in project and product management tools for delivery and portfolio management.
• You are an expert in cross-functional collaboration and comfortable working in Agile.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and business leaders.

The following will be an advantage:

• Your tech stack includes AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• You have knowledge of data architecture and enterprise architecture.

• Base annual salary target: $200000 depending on knowledge and experience (we do have flexibility if needed)
