Opportunity for a commercially orientated Commodities Analyst, with focus on Oil & Gas and Freight Energy Markets to join our Commodities Strategy team, within the Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) group, based in Gurugram. In this role you will be working closely with analysts based in the UK and China, you’ll assist members of the team with ongoing market analysis and responses to client requests. You will develop responsibility for managing market based and fundamental data-sets, e.g. inputs for supply-demand models & price forecasts, as well as providing periodic analysis of commodities related and macro-economic data sets. To be successful in this role, you’ll have a university degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a quantitative discipline. You will display proficiency in MS Office, Strong MS Excel skills, and good written English. Should be well versed and experienced with Python and SQL. You’ll have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, be resourceful and demonstrate strong data management skills. A logical and creative approach to problem solving, Ability to work within a fast paced environment, be resourceful and demonstrate initiative.
