Job Description

Join our Banking and Financial Services data engineering team to help build the best technology company in the financial services industry. Our team is delivering Finance, Regulatory & Risk Data and Reports to meet an ever-changing regulatory and business environment. We are almost entirely in the cloud (AWS/GCP) and use various big data tools to provide our internal and external customers accurate data to support their needs.

What role will you play?

Our Data Engineering Managers own the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the team owned product and platforms. As well as technology ownership, they also own the hiring, retention and growth and development of an engineering team that meets the needs of the business and works well within the overall system architecture.

They draw from a deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers, deep dive into technical problems, and provide leadership on complex technology issues in the company.

What you offer

• Relevant experience managing data engineering teams working on Data and Analytics Platforms
• Strong technical background in one or more Big Data solutions such as Data Warehousing, Data Platforms, Data Frameworks, Data Pipelines using ETL/ELT technologies and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex engineering initiatives
• A critical thinker with solid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant software
• Ability to communicate clearly with product and technology stakeholders across the organisation
