The team is responsible for identifying, creating, and designing data solutions that leverage Bloomberg's proprietary analytics and industry-leading sustainability data. This requires an in-depth understanding of ESG data and familiarity with key sustainability topics, such as climate change, transition and physical risk, and regulatory disclosure. Key to this is understanding the multi-dimensional challenges our clients are trying to solve and making sure that we remain their trusted partner as they work with us to build solutions driven by best-in-class data.

We are seeking a senior individual to join the ESG Data team as Team Lead. This position will have a global oversight and will report to the Global Head of Enterprise Reference, Regulatory and ESG Data. They will be responsible for building the strategic product roadmap and measurement of progress towards the long-term vision for ESG Data. They will lead a group of highly motivated product managers while also being charged with the development of a business strategy that will take the ESG Data capabilities forward, recognizing innovations in technology, evolving industry trends as well as ensuring our tools adhere to and can flex, with ever changing client needs.

We’ll trust you to:

-Set, track, and review metrics for desired product outcomes and clearly communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap, and development status and execute through collaboration with multiple partners including data specialists, sales and engineering

• Display product management skills and effectively handle data product specification, prioritization, and backlog by continually addressing business needs through an agile process
• Work closely with clients, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to drive ESG Data business growth
• Collaborate with various internal teams to execute the go-to-market strategy and increase product awareness
• Show domain expertise on key ESG drivers behind company performance and the types of ESG data firms are using, and how they are linking these datasets together to create an edge in an increasingly competitive market
• Have an understanding of market structure and the many factors impacting our clients and therefore driving their challenges, priorities and resource allocation
• Identify and implement improvements to workflow and operational efficiencies
• Build out creative business intelligence for internal operations and demonstrate data-driven decision making
• Understand data science techniques and platforms that our clients are either building or leveraging to extract value from big data
• Provide team development and coaching 

You’ll need to have:

• 7+ years experience as a Product Manager with at least 3 years in a leadership role*
• Proven understanding of ESG Data best practices including climate and biodiversity data
• Demonstrated knowledge data science and quantitative investing processes
• Proven understanding of capital markets

We’d love to see:

• Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages typically used in data science
• A broad range of asset class knowledge

Salary Range: 180,000 - 350,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
