Your role at Baxter

The Senior Manager of Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) will be responsible for identifying HEOR evidence gaps for Baxter products, developing research studies in collaboration with cross functional stakeholders, executing RWE research, and communicating research results to internal and external audiences.

What you'll be doing

  • Shape and deliver HEOR and RWE projects that drive disease awareness, quantify unmet needs and shape access for Baxter products.
  • Lead all aspects of study design including protocol development, statistical analysis plan, analysis and publications.
  • Design real world evidence studies using retrospective and prospective designs.
  • Generate real-world evidence in collaboration with external organizations including health systems, hospitals and data vendors.
  • Develop communication materials, publications, and congress submission materials.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Engage with external “Value and Access” KOLS and/or customers to conduct research and gather insights to inform value creation and communication.

What you'll bring

  • PhD in health economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science or related discipline
  • 5+ years' work experience in health economics and outcomes research, preferably with experience working with new medical technologies in medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries. Medical device experience is preferred.
  • History of peer reviewed publication/abstracts, achieved in collaboration with external thought leaders.
  • Strong communication skills and experience developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated experience leading functional and cross-functional project teams, either indirectly or directly.
  • Experience and expertise in use of statistical analysis software (Stata, SAS, R, Python), and statistical methodologies.
  • Experience in considering health economic endpoints in clinical trial design and case report form development.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple research initiatives concurrently
  • Experience with development and execution of economic modeling strategies

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $112,000 to $216,000 plus an annual incentive bonus, commission target, and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
