The Associate Director, BRM AI, you will be responsible for the team providing the AI-enabled technology strategy and leadership for the business and ensure alignment with Baxter strategy. This role works with various levels of business leadership to shape the digital strategy and value proposition of the company, while engaging in major initiatives that drives business growth and advocating how new technologies can improve the company´s speed, agility, productivity, and innovation advantage.

To be successful, this role must engage with the leaders to build digital and technology understanding in the leadership team while collaborating on business strategies and outcomes to ensure the technology suite and roadmap within their respective product portfolios will deliver the required business value. This role will act as the single point of contact for multiple leaders and be accountable for IT partners’ relationship to ensure alignment across IT functions and process fluency. The scope of a BRM is typically at a division level within our multiple business functions and segments.

What you'll be doing

  • Directs a team of Business Relationship Managers to identify and design AI-enabled solutions that deliver a ground-breaking increase in efficiency gains and revenue growth
  • Is accountable for all aspects of IT services either provided and led within the IT segment team or provided from any other group within the entire IT organization.
  • Develop and drive IT strategies to align with a high impact business agenda supporting the business segment, including the integration points between this function and other functional IT partners.
  • Accountable for relationships with business segment partners.
  • Serve as Product Owner across multiple Product Portfolios and establishes a vision and product roadmaps across multiple portfolios and provide transparency to business and technical team members.
  • Collaborate with vendors, industry consultants and senior company management to define information needs, develop cases and priorities, sustain service levels, and proactively leading business demands.
  • Be a trusted advisor on helping the business to construct significant arguments for vital investments and the required organizational change activities that the business will be required to perform for success.
  • Understand and anticipate the direction of the business segment, find opportunities based on the capability needs and make recommendations to support the desired future state outcome.
  • Initiate and maintain a Function/Business Area capabilities roadmap by keeping current with technology advancements and digital innovations within the subject matter area
  • Become an inspiring leader by introducing different ways that technology can improve value in our pursuit operational improvements and revenue growth.
  • Handle critical issue process accordingly when delivery of services falls outside of the SLA.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the latest market and technology trends related to our industry and particularly to the business segment supported.
  • Connects with other product owners and managers to keep alignment between product roadmaps and business needs.
  • Lead spend and IT investments according to plan and ensure timely work during budget and forecasts processes.
  • Manage the demand and associated portfolio of technology investments for the business segment and/or division.
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement opportunities for end-end business processes and system interdependencies across multiple functions.
  • Work with senior leaders to evolve culture and interpersonal behavior, elevating IT into a strategic partner.

  • Experienced in use of lean product principles and software development lifecycle
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience working with business leadership in creating measured value of IT investment, with at least 5 years in functional management and people leadership roles
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial technologies supporting capabilities such as marketing enablement, sales enablement, contracting, customer experience, etc.
  • 7+ years of experience in life sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience in building cases (costs, benefits, assumptions).
  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM®) accreditation conducive.
  • Prior experience working in a highly matrixed, large organization preferred.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 to $252,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive .For questions about this, our pay philosophy, and available benefits, please speak to the recruiter if you decide to apply and are selected for an interview.
