The Role

We are on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Digital Media Analyst to lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of media which will serve to track the success of digital advertising initiatives for one of the agency’s most high-profile clients – one of the big 4 banks in Australia. Not only will you work on projects leveraging first party data activation, but this is also a highly respected account by key partners like Google, Meta and others, opening endless opportunities for growth and pushing innovation beyond belief!

This role will work closely with AdTech and Digital Media teams to produce recurring performance reports and provide recommendations to optimise future digital advertising performance. You will provide clear articulation of key findings and insight to internal teams and may at times, be required to share insights with clients. The role will collaborate closely with the media, account, production, and traffic teams to ensure seamless workflow and consistency in digital media tracking and reporting infrastructure. Through data-driven insights, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the client’s marketing strategy.

The Analyst will work with the client and the internal digital team to identify opportunities for first-party data led analysis. They will chart strategies as part of brief responses, integrating advanced digital media and conversion rate optimisation strategies.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the Senior Analytics Director, you will:

  • Design, analyse, and interpret data reports from multiple sources (display, video, paid search, and paid social), both quantitative and qualitative
  • Collaborate with the Data and Media teams to understand ongoing campaigns, goals, and key business priorities
  • Check the accuracy of media tags like Floodlight, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Pixel, and others, ensuring data integrity and quality
  • Monitor key media metrics such as CPM, Reach, and Media Spend, providing regular reports and actionable insights to the Media teams
  • Design, build, and automate media dashboards using BigQuery, consolidating data from multiple sources like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, SA360, and DV360.
  • Prepare analyses and visualisations using data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Collaborate on plans with internal Advertising Technology and Analytics team to develop client capability across Adtech /Martech integration in conjunction with the roadmap agreed on with the client and their technology teams who we partner with closely
  • Monitor trends and uncover opportunities for analytics, media, and account teams; influence internal and external stakeholders to utilise data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions 
  • Collaborate with the digital, search and social teams to enhance client reporting and performance measurement and conduct detailed analysis work when required

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a quantitative data-driven field including experience in digital media advertising. Media and agency experience a plus. Significant client interaction is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams across multiple marketing disciplines is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents
  • Experience in media platforms, ad-serving, and web analytics tools (BigQuery, GMP, Google Campaign manager, Google Ads, SA 360, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, marketing/media tagging tools, etc.). Knowledge of BI/Data visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI etc). SQL is a must
  • Experience with data management and taxonomy tools
  • Must be able to multi-task and develop ideas in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
