Job Description

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement models and algorithms to solve complex supply chain problems using operations research, statistics, and machine learning technologies
• Deep dive large supply chain data to explain change, develop insights, and provide recommendations
• Partner with Supply Chain’s functional areas (with Demand Planning, S&OP, Transportation, and Supply Planning) to develop to optimize our Supply Chain across the board
• Implement process improvement initiatives that drive improvements to the metrics and streamline the Supply Chain

What You’ll Need:

• An advanced degree (M.S., PhD (preferred), or equivalent experience) in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on academic or practical experience in developing and deploying optimization, predictive and machine learning models
• Knowledge and experience in inventory optimization highly preferred
• Python and SQL proficiency
• Experience in at least one of the optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, Xpress, etc.
• Ability to use collaborative programming tools (Git, Confluence, etc.)
• Ability to translate complex data sets and research into simple business recommendations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing requirements

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Research Scientist III position is $146,000.00 - $234,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
