The Opportunity

This is a varied role working on critical business projects, small app development, training, mentoring and project management. As we continue to streamline and automate our systems full stack development becomes critical.

The role will report to our Chief Technical Engineer – Digital and have a primary goal of leading the implementation, ongoing improvement and support of digital development across the business. The role will be expected to lead packages of work at a national level which may include mentoring and support of junior team members, creating scripts and coding, API investigations, working with engineering and design teams. You will work across the development spectrum from ideation to delivery & training.

You will apply your expertise to deliver cohesive solutions providing maximum value to the project and the business at a national level. This will be done by creating the best solution or combination of solutions required to execute the project including software dev., training, project specifics, standardised business configurations, classification and maintenance of the various applications.

Who are you?

Having intimate knowledge of dev and dev ops across multiple platforms, project sizes and delivery environments will be essential. Your ability to communicate and engage project teams, your colleagues and non-technical people is critical to your success. You must enjoy variety and working inside and outside the IT realm.

• Demonstrated comprehensive practical and theoretical knowledge across all aspects of full stack development.
• Deep understanding and ability to implement solutions at all levels across operational teams including automation, AI and functional upgrades

• Expert level of programming in multiple languages (Dynamo, Python, LISP, C++, C#, .net, Node, React, etc)

• Ability to provide training material and present.
• Understanding of commercial implications and licences in relation to the deployment and integration of solutions
• Software procurement, risk assessment, cost models, user requirements
• OSLC – DOORS NG IBM highly advantageous, not essential
