Position Overview

As part of the DTV Team, the Cost Analyst supports all the activities related to Product Cost calculation and tracking both for New and Current Product. This role interfaces with platforms, engineering, cost specialists and purchasing to ensure a correct process to identify and control product cost through FCE availability, system key level cost rollups, and Identify production elements for Design to Value, Design to Cost, and Cost Reduction projects. Support cost manager to define early top down cost target per module based on customer value analysis and monitor the gap between the top-down target and bottom-up cost.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

New Product - Develop and maintain cost roll up forecast for GPD milestones, Provide top down cost analysis per system key, functional block or machine, Ensure BOM alignment with cost checking throughout Design Release, Provide ad-hoc system key level cost analysis (Design-to-Cost initiatives, …), Interface development team with cost modelling team, input information in NPCT.

Current Product - Define key models in KMS (or other systems), develop std to std comparison for YoY tracking, Provide actual cost for key models with KMS or other systems, Identify root causes for cost changes within system key or function block, Provide forecast cost for key models, Ensure BOM alignment with cost checking for ECO releases, Complete catalog reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction ideation, Provide analytics on large/complex projects, across segments, across regions, Interface development team with cost modelling team, input information in NPCT.

Position Pays $88,000 to $127,000. This position is eligible for the company bonus plan (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in Cost Management, Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOM management, System key level cost analysis

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master Degree in Computer Science or Data Science

  • Experience using Cost Estimation Tools, especially Costimator (MTI) and aPriori
  • Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, especially Teamcenter (Siemens) and Enovia (Dassault).
  • Experience working with Agricultural, Construction or Automotive products.
  • Computer use of standard office software programs including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, word processing, and email applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed.
