This role is remote or hybrid, and for the Cockpit AI Engineering team within SWX. Our team is looking for highly qualified and motivated candidates who want to advance the state-of-the-art of AI/ML in real time embedded applications and deliver results that have a meaningful impact on our customers. The candidate will be working with an innovative, dynamic, and diverse team across the world (e.g., France, Italy, USA, India, Brazil). We are ideally looking for a candidate with very large experience in machine learning, deep learning and especially multimodal AI, data engineering, application development, and/or embedded software. Experience deploying machine learning methods beyond proof-of-concept stage into any real-world production application is seen as a major asset. It is most important for a candidate to demonstrate a strong understanding and motivation for engineering, a mindset of continuous learning, and a track record of creating things that work. You will be responsible for some of the following: Support our brands by powering our next generation vehicles with AI enhanced features for the in-cabin environment. – recommenders, predictions, multimodal context, computer vision, sensor fusion Work on complex cross disciplinary problems involving every step of development from uses case definition to solution design to in-vehicle testing. Deliver projects working with internal and external teams to provide guidance to product roadmaps. – sensors, tools, AI methods Demonstrate new capabilities and produce intellectual property to advance our technological edge across the AI automotive domain. Basic Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer vision, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree field 8 years of experience in software application engineering with most of it in AI domain Good communication skills and the ability to interface with application software developers, vehicle integration, and validation engineering organizations Ability to interface with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability (role of expertise) Technical maturity in modelling and representation from embedded sensors (e.g., Camera 2D 3D Thermal/ Radar, CAN network information) Strong Experience with object-oriented programming: Python AND C++. Specialist in Deep learning and computer vision, scientist level (PyTorch, Tensorflow, OpenCV, …) Experience in data management and analytics (e.g., collect, labelling, curation, databases) Experience in reading scientific papers / implementing the latest applied research to build prototypes Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development process Preferred Qualifications: PhD degree in Computer vision / AI or Software Engineering or related degree field 12 years of software engineering industry experience with most of it in AI domain Experience with connected cockpit and/or autonomous driving applications Strong Experience in multi sensor fusion and modelling – especially with camera / microphones / radar (or 3D camera) for AI cockpit purpose – Multimodal AI modelling (e.g., multi-task CNN, early fusion technics, …) Strong experience with Linux and/or QNX and embedded/real time software environment (implementation on Nvidia / Qualcomm boards) Experience in other modalities like Audio processing with AI algorithms Knowledge about explainable AI (related tools) and safety in software engineering At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
