We are looking for technology game changers to transform Stellantis into a software automotive company. Technology, software, and artificial intelligence are disrupting the automotive industry. Our new Software Organization was created to build the most captivating experiences on the latest frontier of Automotive Technology. The Team This role is remote or hybrid (Paris or Detroit), and for the Cockpit AI Engineering department within the Software AI organization. We are looking for passionate, curious and entrepreneurial AI scientists to upskill our internal workforce and advance our AI research program. We are building collaborations with some of the top universities in the US and France, and we want to disseminate the latest AI research across Stellantis. You will be working with a kind, dynamic and diverse team across the world (e.g., Paris, San Francisco, Detroit, Turin) with many complementary skill sets. We are looking for AI scientists with the following competencies: deep learning and AI research, computer vision, teaching. You will be responsible for some of the following: · Advance our AI research program in collaboration with top tier academic partners · Develop our AI training courses to upskill our coworkers · Disseminate AI within and outside the company to build the Stellantis AI brand · Provide expertise to teams prototyping AI systems and powering our concept cars with AI · Produce new intellectual property to advance our technological edge We value creativity, and believe that the brightest engineers and scientists always come up with new ideas to have business impact.  Basic Qualifications: – PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Science or related field – A minimum of 7+ years of overall experience – Hands-on, end-to-end experience with deep learning: data, compute, neural architectures and algorithms – Demonstrated ability to teach AI and publish in peer-reviewed AI conferences and journals – Demonstrated ability to supervise interns, graduate students and post-docs – Experience in applied research in top tier institutions – Good communication skills and the ability to interface with AI engineering teams – Passionate about communicating complex ideas in clear language Preferred Qualifications: – 10+ years of research and teaching in AI – Strong expertise in Generative AI – Experience with connected cockpit or autonomous driving applications – Experience in Computer vision, 3D visualization / data processing – Experience in Distributed systems, embedded / real-time systems for ADAS (e.g., ROS) and/or mapping – Experience in transferring the latest AI research to real-case applications – Ability to interface with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners – Demonstrated ability to design and coordinate training programs across a large organization – Demonstrated ability to design and coordinate a research program across a large organization – Demonstrated ability to disseminate AI knowledge within a large organization – Experience in management At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
