MBRDNA is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, with key areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Interaction Design, Digital User Experience, Machine Learning, Customer Research, and Open Innovation. In Farmington Hills, Michigan, the focus is on Powertrain and eDrive technology as well as in Long Beach, where the teams test durability of the latest driver assistant and telematic systems. The Digital Hub in Seattle focusses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platform for the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.

Automated software deployments and over-the-air-updates are at the backbone of fast and secure development of tomorrow’s ADAS and autonomous driving systems. As leader in these fields, Mercedes-Benz is on the forefront of new developments in this area. Members of the software update team develop algorithms optimized for speed and space.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the next generation software update solutions for Mercedes-Benz vehicles
  • Analyze performance characteristics of our software update solutions for comparison to solutions from outside vendors
  • Generate runtime logs and reports

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Enrollment in an undergraduate software engineering program
  • Experience with the D (DLang) and the C++ programming languages
  • Experience with the Linux operating system
  • Version control systems like git

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the QNX operating system
  • Docker
  • Scripting
  • Virtual machines (QEMU, etc.)

Additional Information:

The current hourly rate for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $28 (Undergraduate Students)/$32 (Graduate Students)
