Job Description
W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Scientist in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field plus 4 months related experience.
- Prior experience must include: Build machine learning code that’s maintainable and re-usable with a high-level programming language such as Python or Java;
- Conduct exploratory data analysis activities;
- Train machine learning models in frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow;
- Utilize understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, such as classification, clustering, optimization and deep neural networks;
- Deploy model using cloud compute tool (i.e. GCP, AWS), containerization (Docker) and Orchestration (Kubernetes);
- Utilize background in Natural Language Processing such as Document Classification & Clustering, Intent Prediction, Knowledge Graph, Multi-Modal Search, Text Summarization and Generation. Up to 50% remote work allowed.
