The Middle Office Technology Team supports trade processing, position keeping, and trade management systems. The team partners with Middle Office business users to customize and implement solutions supporting trade processing scale and stability.

What you’ll do

The role is focused on creation and modification of applications software or specialized utility programs in collaboration with firm’s operations and design teams to meet the needs of our clients. Once the design is approved, you will test, implement & maintain a new data platform. Specifically, you will:

• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
• Implement & maintain ETL pipelines, data models and business logic

• Collaborate with IT team and business analysts to determine the scope and expectations of the project
• Integrate software components and third-party programs
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
• Gather and evaluate user feedback and make adjustments as necessary

What’s required

The ideal candidate should have at least five years of professional experience in software development and a significant portfolio of past work.

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer, data engineer, or similar role
• Good knowledge of Python and frameworks/systems (e.g. Git, Jenkins)
• Strong grasp on SQL (DDL/DML)
• Familiar with at least one technology such as AWS, PySpark, Databricks
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment (TDD)
• Relevant experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
• Data modelling experience
• Able and willing to learn new languages and technologies
• Excellent communication skills and team player attitude
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
