Job Description

This team monitors the external environment, including key competitor moves and industry trends, and derives actionable insights that anticipates threats, opportunities, and risks to Vanguard. The Strategic Competitive Intelligence Consultant owns specific research studies and derives key insights that inform our firm-wide strategy and decision making. This role is for a dynamic thought leader that stays abreast of and anticipates industry trends and competitive moves. The team produces varied intelligence assessments with strategic insights for Vanguard’s most senior leaders across written and spoken communication channels.

In this role you will:

• Stay abreast of industry, market, and competitive trends. Support efforts to keep the senior management team informed of key industry, competitive, and product trends. Recommend new and enhanced capabilities and strategies.
• Develop and lead complex strategic, competitive, and product industry analyses. Utilize available research resources and latest technology in NLP and AI to derive knowledge and consult independently with internal parties to understand Vanguard offers and strategy to make accurate determinations of competitive positioning.
• Synthesize analyses, key findings, and potential solutions into actionable recommendations. Work with senior managers to prepare and deliver materials, including client presentations, white papers, case studies, etc.
• Interpret and analyze highly complex data using business acumen to derive key insights. Verify the quality, accuracy, and reasonableness of the data. Display, organize, and craft data into a compelling storyline with actionable insight for the client.
• Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

• Minimum of eight years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

*** This role is not fully remote. The Vanguard work model includes 3 days in the office (Tue-Thu) and 2 days working from home (Mon & Fri). Office location for this role is Malvern, PA.
