Job Description

We are looking for a data engineer with a strong software engineering background to support the product development of our data science driven solutions in the supply chain management area. If you have a passion for handling data, clean coding and modern DevOps principles you could be a great fit for our team.

Your role in our team

• You will create and maintain production-grade AI and ML-related data pipelines using relevant technologies
• You actively participate in software development in line with team processes and procedures
• You participate in the design of the system and processes to improve business performance
• You become a mentor for colleagues
• Through best practices, you deliver high quality and tested products
• You handle 3rd line support issues with our solutions
• You author high quality technical documentation

Your Profile

• University degree in computer science, natural sciences or related technical fields and a proven professional experience in software development (at least three years).
• Use, query, and create data structures with SQL Server (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience in data manipulation with Python (Java experience would also be useful)
• Good knowledge of Data Lake / Delta Lake / Lakehouse technologies
• You are familiar with data security, regional segregation and large data sets
• Experience with cloud services for data engineering is an advantage - for example Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, etc.
• Knowledge of software development process (CI/CD) and DevOps related tasks.
