Senior Principal Software Quality Engineer

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
• Be the architect and design the automation frameworks
• Guide and participate in the design, development testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
• Have excellent knowledge of Data Science/Machine Learning
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
• Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership
• Mentor other Boomi quality engineers, including design collaboration and test reviews
• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes
• Contribute to the manual and automated testing suite to ensure future software stability
• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
• Experience in testing data science models
• Experience in web application testing using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver
• Experience with Python, source control systems, continuous integration tools

  ● Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence

• Experience with SQL, Web services testing
• Experience with Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL 

Requirements

• 12+ years experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Strong prior experience building Test Automation frameworks
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments
• Basic understanding of Application Integration and/or Data Integration (ETL)
• Experience with Java
• Familiarity using AWS technologies such as Cloudformation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2

Familiarity with Snowflake or data warehouse systems

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Principal Software Quality Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements. You will work with Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will also have the opportunity to drive continual process improvements for the evolution of testing procedures and their future replication.
