Job Description

The AI/ML Engineer is responsible for developing scientific and statistical methods and tools to assist with AI/ML and Data product creation, development and improvement. 

Preferred Location: Chicago, IL

Primary duties may include but are not limited to: 

• Develop experimental and analytic plans for machine learning algorithms and data modeling processes. 

• Ability to understand published literature and stay up to date with and state of the art techniques in AI/ML domain.

• Implementing best practices in AI/ML domain.

• Data wrangling and transforming large data sets to build scalable pipelines. 

• Build data processing tools, libraries and frameworks. 

• Develop advanced visualization of analysis output for business users. 

• Develop acceptance and unit testing for ML products.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent degree and 4 or more years of experience; or any combination of education and experience in configuration management, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Python.

• Expert level understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design principles highly preferred.

• Experience with working with both structured and unstructured data.

• Experience with scripting and automation.

• Experience with Docker preferred.

• Experience with building Python application and library development and RESTful web service API development. 

• Proven experience with Git, Unix/Linux, building CI/CD pipelines.
