Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cloud technologies like Azure data services, snowflake etc.
• Overall 5 to 7 years of experience in data engineering experience
• Experience working with relational data sources (like Oracle / SQL Server) and flat files.
• Experience in optimizing user queries and dashboard performance.
• Ability to work well in a team environment Effectively manage multiple tasks with strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Proactive learner capable of independently assessing and addressing personal technical knowledge gaps.
• Good knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts are required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• In this role, resource will primarily be responsible for ETL development activities using SQL and SSIS, bug fixes in existing ETL applications, performance improvements, technical documentation, provide updates on assigned tasks to team leads and customer. Detailed responsibilities are given below:

• Develop ETL solutions as per defined ETL standards by client - Review requirements and provide effort estimates.
• Coordinate with team members to perform database programming based on project requirements.
• Develop stored procedures, complex SQL queries, scripts and database programming for systems.
• Perform quality assurance tests for ensuring data integrity across multiple databases.
• Interact with business teams to understand project requirements - Analyze existing ETL applications and improve performance.
• RCA and Bug fixes for issues reported by customer.
• Assist in identifying process improvements for database performance, reliability and stability.
• Perform troubleshooting and analysis to assess root cause of data issues in a timely manner.
• Experience in Extracting, Transforming and Loading ETL data from Excel, Flat file, Oracle to MS SQL Server by using SSIS services.
• Understands best practices for data modelling, database programming and job scheduling and ETL package dependencies

Required Technical Competencies

Domain/ Industry Knowledge - Working knowledge of customer's business processes and relevant technology platform or product.

Able to analyse current-state and define to-be processes in collaboration with SME and present recommendations with tangible benefits.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis - Working knowledge of requirement management processes and requirement analysis processes, tools methodologies.

Able to analyse the impact of change requested/ enhancement/ defect fix and identify dependencies or interrelationships among requirements transition requirements for engagement.

Technology/Product Knowledge - Working knowledge of technology product/platform standards and specifications.

Able to implement code or configure/customize products, analyse various frameworks/tools, review the code provide inputs in design and architecture adhering to industry standards/ practices in implementation.

Architecture tools and frameworks - Working knowledge of architecture Industry tools frameworks.

Able to identify pros/ cons of available tools frameworks in market and use those as per Customer requirement and explore new tools/ framework for implementation.

Architecture concepts and principles - Working knowledge of architectural elements, SDLC, methodologies.

Able to provides architectural design/ documentation at an application or function capability level and implement architectural patterns in solution engagements and communicates architecture direction to the business.

Analytics Solution Design - Knowledge of statistical machine learning techniques like classification, linear regression modelling, clustering decision trees.

Able to identify the cause of errors and their potential solutions.

Tools Platform Knowledge - Familiar with wide range of mainstream commercial open-source data science/analytics software tools, their constraints, advantages, disadvantages, and areas of application.
