Job Description

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At Canva, our mission is to empower the world to design, and we’re looking for insightful an BI Analyst who can help us make that happen.

Our product has grown enormously in the last few years. We now have 10s of millions of users generating huge quantities of data every single day. To help us fuel our future growth, we need to better understand our data - this is where we need your help as part of the Growth Supergroup!

About the team

The Growth ‘supergroup’ is Canva’s centre of excellence for product-led growth. The work Growth does spans from building exciting new growth-focused products & experiences, developing unique and creative growth loops and GTM tactics, launching 100s of experiments each quarter, through to building the global payments & subscriptions infrastructure that allows our 100M+ monthly users worldwide to access our premium products.

As part of this role, you will be working with the team responsible for supercharging the growth of Canva Pro, Canva’s most significant revenue contributor with 11 million+ subscribers.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

In this role, you will become a key driver of Pro Growth’s data-informed decision making and strategic roadmap, helping to identify and unlock areas of opportunity to achieve our ambitious subscriptions and revenue goals.

You will work with product/business managers and marketers, as well as data analysts, machine learning engineers and analytics engineers, to develop, own, and report on key revenue metrics, dashboards, and other valuable monitoring resources.

We are rapidly scaling up our monitoring and insights capabilities in this space, and you have an opportunity to shape the future analytics landscape for our largest revenue source. You will become an SME on our range of key revenue metrics, as well as the clear interpretation and communication of these metrics to inform strategic decision making.

Much of your time will be spent monitoring and investigating metrics, providing actionable insights, and supporting product and marketing leaders in implementing these insights in strategic roadmaps. You will also have the opportunity to scale your impact, and allow other areas of the business to unlock revenue growth, by becoming a champion across the business for revenue metrics and their commercial relevance and impact.

To succeed in this role, you will be a curious self-starter who loves working with data, but also enjoys taking a step back to think about the real world implications of the numbers you’re looking at.

We'd love it if you have the below:

  • Strong competency with SQL and experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
  • Experience conducting investigations into product and/or commercial issues with the ability to independently synthesise findings and drive meaningful change through the analysis

  • Experience using Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, PowerBI or similar BI/data visualization tools
