Job Description

We have multiple paid internship openings in the area of computer vision, navigation, medical image analysis and machine learning.

Responsibilities:

• Work with full-time employees to contribute to the R&D of vision, imaging and navigation algorithms and systems
• Research, prototype, iterate algorithmic solutions to computer vision problems to support image guided surgery R&D
• Perform extensive testing and evaluation of the algorithms and documents

Requirements:

• Passion in translating knowledge to real-life products that benefit the lives of people
• MS/PhD degree/candidacy in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related programs (exceptional BS will be considered too)
• Good foundation on mathematics and analytical skills
• Training and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • 1) Geometric computer vision (camera calibration, stereo reconstruction, pose estimation, robust estimation, numerical optimization, structure from motion and SLAM);
  • 2) Sensor categorization, calibration, fusion, sensor filtering, localization, and probabilistic robotics;
  • 3) 2D/3D medical image segmentation, registration or reconstruction;
  • 4) Deep Learning for computer vision / medical image analysis; or
  • 5) 3D graphics and rendering
• Strong implementation skills using C++, C#, and/or Python (and the desire to learn new techniques and tools)
• Familiarity with tools such as OpenCV, ITK, DL frameworks
• Being able to work full-time for at least 3 months; up to 25% time onsite otherwise working from home; summer or rest of the year

$20 - $40 an hour

Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonuses, stock and employee benefits including but not limited to PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, dental & vision insurance, life & disability insurance and a 401k plan. Additional details on the compensation package and employee benefits offerings will be provided to candidates during the interview process.
