Program Manager - Genomics Lab Platform

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Hybrid: 50% onsite, 50% remote

The mission of the laboratory platform team is to enable sustainable, scalable growth while delivering operational and platform excellence to our operators and patients. As a program manager, you will play a strategic role in defining how we continue to scale our labs as well as defining the standard for modern laboratory systems. You will work directly with the technical teams who build and support automated molecular laboratory workflows. You will collaborate with teams who develop assays, perform data analysis, and build software to support workflow execution. This is a unique opportunity to drive scalability and growth of the Invitae platform across multiple locations while working with a highly talented multi-disciplinary team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead cross-functional programs that enable new features and functionality of our genomics laboratory platform
  • Define scope, requirements, and resourcing needed to execute a successful program
  • Drive progress toward milestones and measure success against team and company objectives
  • Communicate progress toward our goals to leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of our platform systems and workflows and contribute to the planning of strategic initiatives
  • Within the first year of joining our team, your contributions will accelerate implementation of new automation and specimen logistics workflows

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's of Science and 5 years of experience or significant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs or product development from inception to launch 
  • Experience leading projects and guiding a team to make trade-offs to meet company and customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and reconcile misalignment across technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data and information in a clear and concise manner to varied audiences
  • Preferred: Previous experience with molecular biology, genomics, laboratory automation or clinical test development
  • Preferred: Experience developing in a regulated environment such as CLIA/CAP or FDA

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. California Pay Range

$119,920—$172,385 USD
