Invitae is seeking an operations analyst with a diverse background to join our dedicated and ever curious cross-functional team. We build systems that combine massive genomic data, community literature, and rigorously curated results in order to inform our customers. And as data scales in size and complexity, so too our systems.

We are looking for a highly motivated early career data scientist or analyst to join Invitae Operations. In this role you will be responsible for helping with development of our in-house ETL system to ensure high data integrity. Data visualization techniques alongside Tableau are used to power a suite of dashboards, plots and tools used to monitor SLA’s and metrics across all operational teams. This work is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with production lab scientists, clinical genomics team, and the clinical quality teams.

What you’ll do

  • Clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
  • Increase visibility into SLAs and current operational processes to develop meaningful insights and help drive informed decisions
  • Develop new dashboards and metrics to track performance across all Operations teams

What you bring

  • Knowledge of NGS lab process and high throughput sequencing technologies
  • Bachelor Degree in Biology or related and 2+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of basic data science work using statistics, data visualization, and Python
  • Experience developing ETL pipelines using best practices
  • Previous experience working with Tableau, manipulating filters, and creating dashboards
  • Knowledge of querying databases: SQL, datalog, etc.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Preferred: Experience with LIMS and working in a Lab environment

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. USA National Pay Range

$73,300—$91,600 USD
