Job Brief

Mindtickle is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our R&D team at Pune. The DoE will be responsible for our core product offering (used by 80% of our customer base) and will work in close partnership with product, design, and other engineering leads to define the strategy, and agreement priorities, to ensure enterprise-grade product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a diverse set of engineering leads and engineers tasked with development covering a wide range of product and infrastructure engineering efforts.
• Provide technical vision and strategy for the team; design and lead a multi-year technical roadmap, balancing short- and long-term technology investments.
• Weigh tradeoffs and have in-depth discussions with engineers on the nuances of complex engineering systems.
• Be accountable for the overall technical excellence and quality of the platform.
• Be proactive and enhance existing platform architecture by analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, optimization, or refactoring.
• Be responsible for the timely delivery of various milestones with measurable and pre-defined quality standards.
• Work in close partnership with Product and Design and other Engineering teams to plan, build and deliver best-in-class experiences for our users.
• In case of customer escalations, work with customers to assuage them of our processes and quality assurance.
• Hire, develop and grow talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies for key talent in a fast-growing, highly competitive economic environment.

Qualification:

• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering with work experience in Product Development / Technology / Startup organizations.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing teams of 30 people or more.
• Strong familiarity with the SaaS Software development cycle is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology field.
• Excellent and robust understanding of scalable product system architecture(s), platforms, and core technologies.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills to pursue correct engineering processes in adverse conditions. Ability to embrace and demonstrate leadership beyond ownership.
• Ability to work efficiently in an entrepreneurial and startup environment.
