We are growing our ML Solutions squad inside the Global AI department to streamline the development and deployment of machine-learning-driven software at HelloFresh. The Global AI team works cross-functionally to identify opportunities to build and deploy advanced ML solutions throughout the organization and works closely with Data Scientists, ML engineers, and Data Engineers to build and maintain best-in-class data products to improve HelloFresh’s user experience. The Global AI team is focused on designing scalable and automated data products using a variety of AI, big data tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Spark, Prefect, Databricks, etc …)

You will...

• Take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and operations of the MLOps platform at HelloFresh
• Build streamlined and intuitive experiences for data science development at HelloFresh
• Lead a small team of machine learning and software engineers (4-7) as a line manager: supervising day-to-day technical tasks, as well as mentoring/growing engineering skill set within your team
• Create and execute programs to help individual career progressions
• Develop an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product and architecture

• An active, solution-oriented member of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams collaborating with Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence teams
• Striving to produce high-quality & operational software, leveraging automation and testing
• A machine learning professional who is passionate about building platforms that enable others to productionize their models rapidly.
• Able to develop an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product to help us build value where it matters most for our customers

At a minimum, you have...

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or, equivalent
• 6+ years of experience on an agile software development team, preferably in a lead or senior role for at least 2+ years
• Hands-on experience in developing and releasing machine learning models in a production environment
• Proven experience in designing and developing MLOps systems.
• 4+ years of experience building software with Python and proficiency with data and ML-related open-source libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Catboost/XGboost, and TensorFlow.
• Experience designing software architecture in a Cloud environment (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure),
• Experience leading/mentoring/guiding technical team members (formally or informally)
• Experience with Apache Spark is a plus
• Deep-learning experience is a plus

New York Pay Range

$153,600—$192,000 USD
