Data Architect

Here at Music Tribe, we are looking for a time served and experienced Data Architect to join our Global team.

The role will be predominantly remote, with the occasional commute to one our local offices.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding the overall Music Tribe data architecture and ensuring that it meets the requirements for data needs from across the business. 
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses e.g. develop and optimise database solutions to store and retrieve company information?.
• Provide strategic thought leadership for data-driven strategies and initiatives across the Enterprise.
• Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modelling, metadata, security, reference data.
• Analyse structural requirements for new software and applications?.
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions?.
• Provide operational support for Management Information Systems (MIS)?.

Essential Skills:

• Must understand the foundation of system development life cycle, project management / architecture approaches, and requirements, design, and test techniques.
• Data modelling and designing; includes SQL development and database administration?.
• Able to develop diagrams representing key data entities and their relationships; as well as generate a list of components needed to build the designed system?.
• Understanding of established data management and reporting emerging technologies and have knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualisation, and unstructured data?.
• Experience in analysing structural requirements for new software and applications.?
• Experience of analysing and mapping current and future data models and mapping transition activity between them.
• Experience of leading and governing detailed design activity to identify technical debt and control drift from architectural design principles and patterns.

Qualification:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience?.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area.
• Managerial/supervisory experience in similar role.

Tools:

• Cloud: Azure DataLake Storage, Azure App service, SQL Database, Azure ML is a plus?
• Platforms: Azure Data Factory, Profisee (MDM), Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Power BI?
• Tools: Azure DevOps?
• Languages: SQL, Python and high level programming knowledge on R and Scala?
• DB: Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB?
• Methodologies: Agile, DevOps, TOGAF / Zachmann framework familiarity?
• Concepts: ELT/ETL, DWH, APIs (RESTful), Spark APIs, FTP protocols, SSL, SFTP, PKI (public Key Infrastructure) and Integration testing
